Nice review of Liza Lim's "Shimmer Songs" by Richard Scheinin in the SJ Mercury News.
Richard Scheinen writes: "The Australian composer's new work was commissioned by the San Francisco Contemporary Music Players, who gave "Shimmer Songs" its world premiere Monday at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Forum in San Francisco. I found it puzzling, on the one hand, but mesmerizing, too, as if it were applying a soft thumbprint to my brain."
